Brad Romans, CAIB
President and Managing Partner
Brad joined Ing & McKee Insurance in July of 1981. He became the ninth employee of the company, which has now grown to 55 staff members. Brad became a shareholder and partner in 1988. After Tom Skinner’s retirement in 2007, Brad took on the role of president and managing partner.
Insurance must be in the Romans’ blood as Brad’s oldest children, Scott and Michelle, work at Ing & McKee Insurance. As well, his father was an Independent Insurance Adjuster and part owner of James Taylor Insurance Adjusters.
For the past couple of years, Brad has had the opportunity to share his insight and knowledge of insurance with students in the Career and Life Management classes at Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School.
Brad loves sports – he roots for the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings, plays in an old-timers’ hockey league, has a passion for a good round of golf, and regularly cheers on the Red Deer Rebels. Brad is married to Eira Marie and enjoys spending time with his children Scott and Ayu, Michelle, and Christine.
Darcy Cavanaugh, B. Comm., CAIB

Darcy first started working at Ing & McKee Insurance during the summers, while he spent the school year working on his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta. When he graduated in 1990 he was faced with a decision - should he pursue an accounting career or follow an insurance career?
The “insurance bug” prevailed! Darcy began his insurance career and earned his Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designation (CAIB). In 1995, Darcy felt fortunate when he was asked to become a partner of Ing & McKee Insurance.
Darcy’s family includes a beautiful wife and two sons. He loves his career and enjoys all of the great people that he works with at Ing & McKee Insurance.
Jeff Skinner, CIP
Partner
Jeff started his insurance career in 1995 working as an underwriter at Western Union Insurance in Calgary. At the same time, Jeff was attending Mount Royal College and graduated from their General Insurance and Business Administration program in 1997. He earned his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation the same year.
After his graduation, Jeff couldn’t wait to get out of the big city and move back to his hometown of Red Deer. He joined Ing & McKee Insurance in June, 1997.
Jeff is happily married and enjoys being a dad to his three children.
Jonathan Wenger, CIP
Partner
Jonathan began his insurance career working as an underwriter with The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company while attending school in Calgary. In 1999, Jonathan graduated from the General Insurance and Business Administration program at Mount Royal College, earning his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation at the same time.
After completing his education in Calgary, Jonathan moved back to Red Deer and joined Ing & McKee Insurance in 1999.
Jonathan is happily married to his wife Megan and has a daughter named Julianna.
